Collaboration and Scalability Through Office 365

Office 365: Collaboration, Scalability and Cost Effectiveness

Growing companies tend to adopt discreet technology solutions as needs arise. Dropbox solved file sharing issues overnight without the need to invest in local area networks or fileservers. IMAP from a small business ISP with an SPF record in place was a quick and simple solution for provisioning email. Collaboration tools abound online so adopting one is easy and fast.

But, there comes a time in every company’s evolution when the tools put in place to simplify, end up complicating processes and that damages productivity. In this short video, Kirsten Samuel, managing director of Kamwell explains how her team sought to replace a fragmented IT infrastructure with something more integrated.

About Kamwell

Kamwell works with organisations to energise and transform the health, wellbeing, resilience and performance of their people. Kamwell’s core message is that human health creates business health. Its philosophy is underpinned by a holistic wellbeing model and the company focuses on creating healthy, purposeful, workplace cultures.

Kamwell’s Challenges

Kirsten Samuel explains: “like most companies, we already had an IT infrastructure, but it had become very fragmented. As our business continued to grow, we realised that we didn’t have a scalable model and we realised that our infrastructure was not cost effective either”.

The company also wanted to add functionality to its IT infrastructure to promote greater collaboration. Kirsten explains that her team wanted to use Lync or something similar but didn’t want to add to the already fragmented infrastructure.

The Consultation

Compete366’s brief was to examine the IT infrastructure and identify a way of making Kamwell IT more productive, simpler and more cost effective. As a Microsoft Cloud specialist, Compete366 consulted with Kamwell and together, they decided that Office 365 was the best solution for the business.

The Implementation

As a highly experienced Office 365 and Microsoft Cloud specialist, Compete366 created and executed an email migration plan that offered a seamless transition. With proven processes in place to mitigate risk, minimise user downtime and ease transition, Compete366 achieved the transition with no interruption to the business.

The Results

Kirsten and her team are delighted with Office 365. Firstly, it allows the team to work from anywhere and on any device, which increases their flexibility and ability to deliver service. Secondly, provisioning new users is now extremely simple, making the business highly scalable. Lastly, the solution is extremely cost effective.
Kirsten ends the interview by saying: “I honestly can’t understand why any business wouldn’t seriously consider Office 365.”
